Research with integrity. Knowledge with purpose.

Chiron Institute of Research is being built as an independent home for rigorous, interdisciplinary inquiry.

Our work will focus on questions at the intersection of neuroscience, cognition, behavior, informatics, artificial intelligence, and health. This temporary page is here while the full website is under development.

What Chiron is being built to study

The first version of Chiron will start deliberately: focused questions, careful documentation, responsible data practices, and collaborations that can grow into real research projects.

Brain, cognition, and behavior

Research questions involving nervous-system function, cognitive processes, behavior, learning, and human experience.

Informatics and AI

Applied work with data, analytical tools, computational methods, and human-technology interaction.

Health and human benefit

Research aimed at producing knowledge that can improve practice, understanding, education, or quality of life.

Founding principles

Chiron’s identity is not only about subject matter. It is about how the work is approached.

Evidence before conclusionsResearch priorities should be guided by meaningful questions, careful methods, and what the evidence supports.
Ethics before momentumPeople, data, consent, privacy, and limitations matter before a project moves forward.
Independence before agendaThe work should not be dictated by political pressure, predetermined conclusions, or financial gain.
Knowledge in service of peopleThe purpose of research is not just to produce information, but to help improve understanding and human well-being.

Full website coming soon.

For now, Chiron is open to conversations with researchers, clinicians, students, technologists, and organizations interested in interdisciplinary research or future collaboration.
